were all taken on my favourite beach here in JBay.
except for the full length photo, they were all
taken during various levels of Lockdown this year.
I ♥ the beach. since I
was a little girl - my first memories were on the beach.
this has been a super, unbelievable, undeniably
hard year for MANY people all over the world - in so many different ways.
many people lost loved ones - not all from Covid,
but way more than what would normally have been lost in a "normal"
year.
many people lots their jobs - companies shut down
- I KNOW - I KNOW because I had to CLOSE THE DOORS TO MY beautiful shop - for
the greater GOOD
for those of you who think that it is EASY for me
- it is not.
but - would I do it again to prevent someone from
contracting a virus in my shop?
YES - in a heartbeat.
we live in a society where everyone is just FOR
HIM/HERSELF - there is no community sense. there is, sadly, no collective
culture where we are WILLING to sacrifice for the next person. we want
everything for our own selves.
it breaks my heart to read all the HORRIBLE
comments from people I used to have respect for about our government, our
fellow South Africans and just MEANNESS in general.
I choose to stay positive.
I lift up my eyes to the hills and I KNOW where my
help is from.
it is NOT from any person - but from the LORD OF
LORDS who is SOVEREIGN and ALMIGHTY
that is where my HOPE is
and the beach will REALLY still be here in 3 weeks.
and I pray all of us too
PLEASE JUST STAY SAFE.
