SURPRISE!!!!

i made this card for a lady that sent me a RAK - and i am very bad with those!! so, last night i decided that i was going to return the favour! i actually got two RAK's this week, so i will have to make another one tonight!! it is a very basic card - i first did the masking. then i added the 7Gypsies tape. then i looked at it for a while. i then went through my clear stamps looking for a nice image. then the wooden ones. i found the alphabet by Paperbag Studios and i stamped it in the right corner. i then added the bird by Kaisercraft.

i did the little flower arrangement - made a lace flower by just adding some thread to the bottom of the lace and pulling it together. hammered the little flower bead flat, and added it.

i dressed the bird up by adding some Ranger Dimensional Pearls to it - and i also added some to the top of the little masked "fences". added a black rhinestone as the eye for the bird and stamped the sentiment by HOTP with Versafine. matted it twice and distressed the edges. there you go!
another surprise for some might be the fact that the most wonderful event in world history took place today, just over 2000 years ago. whether you believe it or not, our calendar, all events after it and even people who swear, swear by His name. everyone in Western society knows the name - it is undeniably the most prominent name in the world..............Jesus Christ. and today we celebrated His death on a wooden cross for you and me. for all our sins. so that we may not perish, but have eternal life. i heard a story about a man that did not believe in Heaven or Hell. and as he was lying in his casket, ready to be buried, one of his friends who was born again remarked: "just look at Peter - all dressed up and nowhere to go!". do you have somewhere to go? do you know that you can DO nothing to earn salvation? it is so easy - acknowledge that Christ died for your sins, repent and accept Him as your Saviour. then, READ THE BIBLE. that is it. the rest will come and you will at least have a place to go........what have you got to lose? make that committment NOW. if you made it years ago - RE-COMMITT. and KNOW that you will have eternal life..................what a wonderful thought! Thank You, Father, for sending Your Son to die for my sins. Once again, I committ my life to Jesus and I ask forgiveness for all my sins. I accept You as my Saviour and I believe that you died for me, Cariena Basson, and that your precious Blood washed me clean. Amen.
