FACE............
hello all!! it is that time of the week again - challenge time at Scrap and Stamp! this week we have a gorgeous sketch for you to follow by Lacey! i chose to use photos of Desiree's daughter, Julina. she has such an expressive face and although she is pulling FACES here, she hides nothing - ever. you can see by just looking at her face what is stirring inside!!
i chose an old favourite by MME, and used one of the papers as my background. i distressed the mat papers and then ran my clear embossing pen along the edges. i added some brown Zing embossing powder. i then stamped some circles where i wanted my scallop border with my Versamark pad, and also embossed it with the brown Zing powder. because the paper has such a nice texture, it does not make a solid circle. i love that!!! i then added some Ranger Dimensional Paint, Wild Plum and a rhinestone in each "scallop" as a feature!
i stamped swirls with my Espresso Adirondack Dye pad and also added some Wild Plum Paint to strategic spots.
for the title i painted white cardstock with my Espresso paint dabber and when it was dry, i took a piece of Goldilocks, and i dabbed some Brass Lumiere paint with it, all over the painted cardstock. i then cut the title from my new Expressions Folder for my SLICE. ( i do love my SLICE). i added the beads as an afterthought and some faux stitching in the two corners. and there you have it! do hop on over to Scrap and Stamp and enter this week's challenge for a chance to win a super prize!!
