freedom.............
we had a stampclub meeting on Wednesday night. one of our new members, jean, showed us how to bead on cards. i thought i knew how. she is such a clever girl!!! i loved it and this is my finished product.
yummie paper from 7 Gypsies - she had a sheet or two that she cut up in pieces so that everyone could have the same. ( does anyone know what it is called? i am sure it is from quite an old collection, but i would love to get some for the shop..........)
and here is the beading up close. the mannequin is by Glitz girls - a really nice stamp.
we had a black gentleman at church today that is 72 years old. he said he was brought to Jesus by a white man in 1951. before that he only believed in the calling of the ancestors, and sangomas. he did say that it is quite ridiculous to believe that people that are 6 feet under the ground can help the ones that are 6 feet above ground! he was very charismatic. he said a very true thing. in 1994 people of colour received political freedom in South Africa. he said that he had been free, though, since 1951 when his sins were forgiven and he was given a new heart by God. that really moved me. sometimes we are so caught up in our situations that we cannot see past the walls enclosing us and our problems. instead of focusing on what is really important - where will i spend eternity. in the presence of the Almighty, or not. i tend to forget that my time on earth is purely a preparation for one day when i will be in the presence of Jesus all day - worshiping and praising His Glorious name, and i will have a disease free body, no ailments and no problems. this life is temporary and yes, we do have to make the most of it. but God did not send His only Son so that we might live in bondage, but that we will live as a free people. so, regardless of what your working conditions, marital conditions, financial conditions are - know what Jesus loves you and He died on a cross so that not one will perish, but that every siingle person who confess their sins to Him and accept Him as their Saviour, will have eternal life. what a GIFT!!!!
