affordable scrapbooking.......
and here is the layout we did today in class. of course everyone had a different take. amongst them even a Christmas page and a professional photoshoot one! wow! the ladies really outdid themselves! i was inspired by a very old Pagemap sketch, but i changed it totally. i only used their grid as inspiration. this layout really shows how you can make a stunning, detailed page for very little money. people always complain about how expensive scrapbooking is. well, this layout proves that for the cost of a plain Mcdonalds burger you can make a page! and it does not go straight to your hips!! LOL! i used Ranger Colorwash, paint dabbers, basic stitching with a few templates from Bazzil, and was inspired by Tracie Hudson and Jodi Sanford from the convention, with the rosette flower and the little rolls of paper. how i love this craft! we all learn from each other. then we make it our own! and then some people are so stingy with their knowledge! something i don't understand! there will always be people who need to take professional classes - they don't have time to figure out techniques, don't have time to blog, and enjoy going to classes. all the ladies in my class today were "old" scrappers, and yet they had alot of fun, and we all learnt a thing or two! i think people who are "scroogy" with knowledge will lose face - with the Google generation, we have to distinguish ourselves by doing something different - not withholding information! just my opinion!
