all boy.....pieter
i woke up Friday morning and thought that i had to do a BABY layout. as i do not have children, i did not think much further, except that a baby boy was o my mind, as i have beautiful new papers in the shop that screams BOY. i had to stop at one of my clients ( iro my real job) and one of the ladies there was pregnant the last time i saw her, and now she had had her baby. i asked if i could see a photo of her new son. when she showed me the pictures, i knew that i had to scrap this boy! he was just so SCRAPPABLE!!! she emailed me some pictures, and i made this layout. the title was cut with my SLICE and i used clear embossing powder to give it just some shine and dimension. the frames around the small photos are the frames from the Glimmer Chip alphas - it is really a very versatile set, and will last a very long time!
i had never used Glimmer Mist before, ( the real Tattered Angels thing) so i spoilt myself and bought the nature Climmer Chip set as well as one of the alphabet sets. here is a close up of one of the birds in the set. it was GLIMMERED twice and then i took my finger and rubbed some Frayed Burlap Distres ink on it to highlight the embossed detail.
here is a close up of the random brads and snaps i added to the layout. also please note the corner - it is a punch i got in lieu of payment two years ago from the old age home in town when i immortalised their Body Corporate. i don't think i have used it since. it is actually great! here you can also see how i cut the pieces of paper with my SLICE and glimmered the background
here is a close up of the journaling and some Jowilna - style stitching. i LOVED making this layout! i actually PLANNED it - which is not something i EVER do with a layout! i think it came out OK. please let me know what you think!!
