jillibean soup

we had to follow a sketch at Scrap and Stamp Saturday this week. it is a stunning sketch and you can see it here. i got the new Jillibean Soup papers in the shop two weeks ago, and i have been itching to use them! this was the time!! as for the subject - my darling (sic) husband decided that since we live on a farm, we needed some chickens. neither he, nor i, knew anything about chickens, and believe me, it caused a few hickups ALL OVER in the beginning. now they rule the yard - and i must say, i feed them every morning and evening, and they are quite cute when they come running to the car ( like dogs) when i come home in the evenings! everything on this layout is Jillibean Soup - my stamped element is the little tree - i stamped it on patterned paper and clear embossed it. i then cut it out and i added some frayed burlap distress ink all over it, so that it could seep into some of the areas. i also stamped the little birdies at the top of the journaling spot. so, hop on over to SSS - there is a great prize up for grabs, and you could just win!!!
i have also entered this layout into Lexi's challenge this week .Posted by Picasa
