her first page...........

i remember the day i started scrapping. i still have the layout. it was the most wonderful thing i had ever made - myself. ( with ALOT of help, of course.!!!!) this lady walked into our shop and said she wanted to start Scrapbooking. she was on holiday in Jeffreys Bay, and had two days left ( they had actually come for a wedding) but she was very intimidated by the cost of everything it seemed she needed and WHERE to start. so Donsie, as only she can, made her relax and book the next day for a one on one beginner's class. she told her to bring some pictures. they went through RETHA VAN DER WALT'S book, Photostories, and found a layout that the client liked. then it was off to pick the goodies. of course the layout looks nothing like the one in the book, but the idea with the paper in the left corner was Scraplifted from the book. she learnt about stamping, blending, journaling etc. i think she left after 4pm that afternoon - it was a long day for her! the proof is in the pudding, though!!
