some cards
i have been experiencing a card drought ( i think it is because i have not been alone for so long) and this weekend i am by myself again. i don't know why that is???????? anyway, i had to make some quick cards to say thank you to someone, wish another person happy birthday, and encourage another. so, i grabbed my perfect pearls, distress inks and mini misters! ( faithful friends!!) this card was made by blending Chipped Sapphire Distress ink all over plain white CS. i then stamped the image given to me by PAOLA (thank you so much!!!!) with Perfect Medium and added Pewter Perfect Pearls. i then misted it with water to just set the pearls and then also stamped the sentiment with the Chipped Sapphire ink. 3 rhinestones and some Basic Grey paper finish the card off.
this one was made using plain white CS again, and i made some home made glimmer mist with Aged Mahogany reinker and Forever Red Perfect pearls that i misted onto the CS. i then inked the stamp with Perfect medium and over that with Aged Mahogany. i then stamped it and added more Forever Red Perfect Pearls. i then took my glue pen and randomly made some glue blotches around the image. i took Arnold Grummer's Gold dust that i bought in the USA 2 years ago and have really no idea of what to do with it ( you are actually supposed to use it in home made paper, i think) and i threw the whole tub over it and tried to put the rest back. it says you are not supposed to inhale the stuff - my whole craft table is now full of it - it is so static!!! anyway, it looks kinda cool - almost like Gold leaf, just more shiny. i matted the image on red and some DP and added the rhinestones in the corners.
last but not least is this baby. i used a 10cm x 10cm piece of white CS and covered it with Frayed Burlap Distress ink. i then stamped the coffee ring and splatter also with Frayed Burlap in the two corners. then i used my Lumiere Gold Olive Paint to stamp the leaf randomly. i cut the label with my new Vintage Findings card for my SLICE ( love that machine............have i mentioned that lately - LOL) and stamped the sentiment. i lifted it a bit and added faux stitching. i then took some old dictionairy paper and sprayed it as well as the green insert at the top with more home made Glimmer Mist - this time Peeled Paint reinker and Green Perfect Pearls. added the 3 stitches and a rhinestone and off you go!! i am entering this card into the challenge at Taylored Expressions - i should maybe first check the challenges and then make the cards! hehehehe!! but i am such an impulsive crafter, that i don't think i will ever remember to do that!!! enjoy your evening - please leave a comment - i really appreciate each and every one of them!!! xxxx
