a work in progress....
yes, that is my life. everyday it gets pieced together. some pieces no longer fit, i need new ones to fill the gaps, but that does not mean that the old pieces are meaningless..............i went to PE last Thursday and walked into Crafty Arts. just browsing. i love shopping in other Scrapbookshops...........they have such nice paper! and yes, paper is my love. i found a selection of Webster papers and an old Xmas design by MME. i KNEW that i had to make a layout..... i used the MME reverse side as my background.
some random circles with some stitching to accentuate them ( thanks for that idea, Jowilna!) and another part of the stunning title rubon by Daisy D's.
i used my splatter stamp with my Adirondack Espresso ink, misted it with water before i stamped - really gives a stunning effect. the journalin was done randomly around the photos and papers.
before i added the elements to my background, i swiped my distress embossing pad randomly on the paper and added a mixture of aged mahogany distress embossing powder and gold UTEE. i also embossed the edges of my two pages right around with Zing brown embossing paper. i am in love with the Webster's paper, and the rep was in the shop today............i ordered every single one i could lay my hands on that fitted the bill!! can't wait for them to arrive! it has been a busy week.............alot of changes at the shop - the last long weekend until September's Heritage day weekend, gives us about 6 weeks to swap the shop around, sort things and paint ( again)!!! also need to sort out the stock room - added double the shelves, and i am stocking up for December..................don't want to be caught this season with no new goodies to unpack weekly for the holiday makers!! plus, it relieves lots of pressure from the staff if everything is in order before the holiday rush! almost weekend................
