a day to remember....

so, i am 40 years old. since i was a teenager, i have been a little obsessed with being able to apply foundation to my face properly.  i think in the past 24 years i have spent (literally) thousands on base.  not that i like putting make up on - i actually hate putting it on.  what i like is the idea of it...........much to my chagrin, though, i have never been able to apply base the way i just KNOW it is supposed to look.  that is, until yeaterday.  i bought a brush to apply base with ( i thought that it could not hurt - nothing else works) and can you want it, it works!!!!  smoothless!  so, i just HAD to document the moment!  i realised that my camera does not have a self-timer ( how did i miss that when  i bought it 5 years ago????) so i had to resort to photographing myself in the mirror!  hahahahahaha!

i have almost no photos of myself.  in all the attempts to capture my attempt at applying the perfect base, i managed to take a few photos that turned out not too bad! i really liked this photo too!!  i never scrap myself, but i think i might have a few photos in my stash now that i could use if i had to scrap myself! (with properly applied foundation for once in my life!)  i do wonder how long it will take before i revert back to "au naturale".......
