pics & tales......

while i was in Cape Town, i met up with the amazing ladies from Pics & Tales.  i met these ladies 4 years ago at one of the conventions at Spier, and we have been seeing each other every year at the event.  this year they did not attend, but we arranged a "play-date" for my last day in the Mother City.  it was great!  Ezmé designed the layout above and i had wanted to scrap with this collection by Authentique - Fresh - ever since i saw it.

 i am not one for charms - but i was very impressed with how effective this little charm with some twine was on the page.

of course these ladies share my passion for stamping - and it is always wonderful to stamp with fellow rubber addicts!  we used Weathered Wood Distress Ink to stamp the damask directly onto the background paper and then a red dye ink for the postage stamps.  in the top left corner you can see a small piece of the border stamp we also used.  LOVED making this layout!  really!  thank you, ladies!  Pics and Tales kits can be bought online at Scrapbook Studio or if you are in Cape Town, pop in at their Studio in Kanonberg Estate, attend a class or a scrap and chat there. email them at info@picsntales.co.za.  you can also book them to teach a class at your store or next event!  their layouts are really, really amazing!  thanks girls!!
