go girl........can you guess....

what i used to color this image with!? i am so impressed with myself - i can hardly keep it in!!! this just happened!! it is true what they say - you have to spend time with your supplies and not be scared to experiment!! please make a guess - i would LOVE to see if you guys can guess!!!

i hope you have all had a good week. i, for one, cannot believe that it is FRIDAY already. i still had so many things i wanted to do this week!! one thing i did manage to do, was realise how true the Lord is when we are obedient. i have had to make some tough decision (mostly unpleasant, tough ones) in the last year, but i knew at the time that i had to be obedient. it is now almost exactly a year after the most difficult one i had to make - AND STICK IT OUT, and the tide is now turning! also - at the right time! my other hard decision i made 6 months ago, also proves to have been the right one - being obedient. you know, i believe that the RIGHT thing to do, is mostly the HARDEST thing to do. maybe that is why they sometimes say that to follow Jesus is not for sissies. it is really tough, sometimes, from a human perspective. when i feel so sorry for myself, i just have to remind myself that God had to see His only Son hang on a cross - and His Son also asked to be spared - but He loved us so much that He only wanted to Glorify His Father, and be obedient to Him, so that we may live. i was just wondering - are we obedient enough, or do we always want that instant gratification? when we raise our kids - we sometimes HAVE to say NO - because we know a little bit better than they do, what is good for them. why then, are we so impatient when our Heavenly Father tells us to just WAIT..........................not to spite us, but to protect us, and because He KNOWS the plans He has for us, and so often we want to jeopardise His plans with our own selfish desires. i know the week is almost finished, but i am going to try and listen more intently and WAIT on God before i act............i don't want to miss ANYTHING good He has in store for me, just because i am impatient. i pray that all of use will be a bit more AWARE of our Heavenly Father's voice - and actually LISTEN and OBEY, and not just ignore it. it could just be the RIGHT thing to do........

Hi Cariena, well it looks to me like you used Copic Markers, but I could be wrong. Am I right??? Thank you for sharing your heart too! I've been through some very tough years being obedient. Waiting for God is just the hardest thing when your heart is aching to see the outcome. I'm learning to trust even though nothing seems to be bearing fruit. So AMEN!! Have a super weekend.

Hi Cariena,
I am going to guess that you coloured with re-inkers!! You have done a great job - whatever you have used.
I also know what you are talking about with Waiting for God. But I have found that since I TRUST Him completely if I turn everything over to Him, I can stop worrying and know that He will take care of everything the RIGHT way. We need to learn patience that's for sure!
Hugs, Candy

Have you used your copics that you have been 'scared' of using? :-) Thanks for sharing about being patient and obedient. We are right in it at the moment and we know God will never let us down. He will keep & provide for as long as we listen and obey. Have a super weekend.

Lovely card Cariena, judging by the colors i would say distress inks, going on the texture achieved by the colors i would say pencils, i am probably wrong on both counts, but it came out lovely

My guess will be that it's something you haven't use recently. That for me, scratches out copics, distress inks, chalks and re-inkers.
So that leaves us with .... still a lot!!!!

I would say pencils ... either your Colleens or inksentsials ... blended with baby oil maybe?
It's such a sweet card and love the way she sits on the fence. The butterflies are so adorable too!
