a caged birthday card......

hi all!! just a quick post - i just returned from the shop - it was a BUSY day!! we had 4 ladies that just did some open Cropping - from 10-3, and we had just over 40 customers in the shop from 9-3!!! that is quite amazing for a small shop like us! so needless to say, i am a bit tired.........it is now just before 6pm, and i still had to do some shopping - with 2 fulltime jobs i don't get much time to make sure there is basic proviant in the house, and the bath soap is barely a slither. LOL!! so i quickly did some shopping, and now i am going to relax a bit! i just wanted to quickly post this card i made a while back. i actually made 4 of them ( with very slight variations), and sent them to 4 ladies in my stamping group that had birthdays this month. i thought i got all the March birthdays, but realised this week that i had missed one - i am all set to do that this weekend! very simple card - used plain white cardstock and stamped the swirl with Versamark and then used my Turquoise EP and my Stream Adirondack Dye ink pad to blend a bit. i then stamped the birdcage with Versamark and used my Ranger RUST EP. it is a stunning Embossing powder. i then blended the edges with some Tea Dye and stamped the sentiment. i also embossed the button with the Turquoise EP, as i did not have the right color button. finished it off with two rhinestones and there you go! all these items are available at the shop, and we ship all over the country! i will be back just now with the Scrap and Stamp layout...................................X
