coming out of the dark..........

in 1991 Gloria Estefan released a song with the name "Coming out of the Dark" after being in a near fatal road accident near Scranton, Pennsylvania. i was a Rotary Exchange Student in Montrose, Pennsylvania at the time. it took almost a year of rehabilitation for her to recover and this song was written after the ordeal. it reached #1 in the USA. Montrose is close to Scranton, and i have always kind of "anthemed" the song --------------coming out of the dark, into the light...............after so many ordeals in my life. i know that she wrote this song as an ode to her husband for his support, but i equate this song to the feeling of elation i constantly have when i receive affirmation of COMING OUT OF THE DARK by being saved by Jesus and His Grace and Mercy. the Light is so REAL that it amazes me daily. i rejoice in the Lord and i praise Him for his faithfulness.

for the Scrap and Stamp Challenge today we had to use the lyrics of a song. and this was my contribution. the dove was photographed in my garden and the sheet music is from a real sheet music book - picked it up for $1 at the music store. it was already a bit tattered, and i just distressed it some more. faithful ribbon and buttons and two chipboard flourishes covered with Crackle Paint and a plain piece of torn white paper with some dictionary stamping on it, completes the layout. really minimalistic. hop on over to Scrap and Stamp and show us what you can come up with! maybe this is your lucky week!!
