paperpiecing..............

the challenge this week over at Scrap and Stamp Saturday is to use Paperpiecing. i have never done it before, so i was a bit worried about whether or not i will be able to do it!! well, i think the main thing with these things is just to DO IT!! i grabbed some later photos of my nephews son, and the papers that i used accidentally fell over each other as i was sorting out my papers this week at home. most are leftovers!

i paper pieced the butterflies by stamping a butterfly on the back of the patterned papers. i then cut one half out and glued it ontop of the other. i did this 3 times, until i had 3 different looking butterflies. i added a straw to the middle of the butterfly to give it some body, and the antennae are made of beading things ( i really don't know what they are called) i made a circle flower again ( i am loving these!!!!)

i stamped the word DIRT with my MSE clear stamps - they got stuck tot the photo!! i had not used them in so long, i think the rubber is starting to disintegrate. i think it is time this weekend to give my clear acrylic stamps some TLC..................hope you like the layout! please leave a comment if you do! hop on over to SSS and look at all the other magical layouts from the DT. enter your layout - there are GREAT prizes up for grabs!
