quite contrary...........
i got the whole collection of Quite Contrary into the shop last week. i even got the stands from MME - and i have to admit, it makes you want to buy all the papers and embellishments and just SCRAP HAPPY PAGES!!!! as you all know, i don't have children but my aunt was visiting and she left me with almost 1000 photos ( not all scrappable, but still - huge variety) of her grandchildren and i am so glad!! when i was closing up shop yesterday, these papers caught my eye and i KNEW i had to scrap a little niece!! i chose some photo's of Zoe, Kim's youngest. she is an adorable little thing, just look at that pony tail and those cheeks! i just want to love her to death!
i jumped onto the banner bandwagon - inspired by GCD studios for a while now, and Jowilna Nolte ( the banner with the stitched edge). i created the plain coloured banners by cutting three pieces the size i wanted from a #8 manila tag and then colouring it with some distress inks and adirondack inks until i got the colour i wanted. i then spritzed them with water mixed with Heirloom Gold perfect pearls and dried them with my heat gun. they have a lovely shimmer.
i made a mess with dirty fingers on the side of the page and had to find something to cover it with - so i did a circle punch flower! i love these! you punch 6 circles and then just fold the petals until you have a flower! ! easy peasy! hope you like it! i am in a very happy mood today! i am going for a small operation tomorrow and will be out of action at work for a few days, but i have started cleaning the scraproom, and i feel my mojo coming back after the week and all it's decisions, that i feel is finally giving me some peace of mind again. apart from that i have been spending some serious time with the Lord and i am starting to feel like the beloved child of a Heavenly King again who loves me just as i am and only wants the best for me! Yippeee!! have a splendid afternoon. i will be back later with some random thoughts!
