see the flowers smiling~!

after i finished the layout of Zoe on Sunday, i knew i wanted to make a Tilda card with some of the left overs. i started coloring her in, but left her for a day or two while i went in to hospital. i have been at home the whole day, sore, stiff and not feeling 100%. i knew, however, that i could not waste a day - how often do i get the chance to be at home in the middle of the week??? so i set about finishing the card. it took me almost 3 hours - it is uncomfortable to sit, so i had to get up frequently, but i made it! and here is the finished result!

i tried something else with the Ranger Dimensional Pearls - i smeared them over the handstitched border around the red circle - i did not want it so stark against the patterned paper. i am not sure if it works - maybe a bit messy!!! the grass is a stamp i inherited from jowilna - stamped it with my tombows. the sentiment is by Hero Arts. i coloured Tilda with my new Prismacolor pencils - they do color like a dream!!
