tim holtz configurations - africa style!!

so, i have this friend/client who is OBSESSED with the continent we live on. Africa. she lives, breathes, eats and sleeps the land, it's wildlife, it's people - all of it. so she created a stunning piece of art to display all the places she has been to and all the elements of Africa that is so dear to her. i won't say much. i will let the piece speak for itself. well done, Charmaine!!!

That is one of the best boxes I have ever seen. It is by far the most unique one and it is beautiful! Definitely gave me some inspiration to do one! I am wanting to do a Mayan one, some of my family just went there.......this actually gives me some ideas!

This is fantastic. What a great idea! I've been thinking about an Africa-theme box myself. I also like the Mayan idea mentioned.

Thanks so much for the inspiration.

If you and your friend like mystery books - you might like my friend's Detective Kubu series. Takes place in Botswana. I just read the 3rd book "Death of the Mantis" - the best so far!

Fantastic example of how you can make a configurations box your own. I love this with all the different 3D elements. I also love Africa, although I live in Europe: Thanks for sharing this.
