good friends.......

my friend Julie Glasgow in the USA, who is BRILLIANT and does the most amazing coloring that you can see here, sent me some stamped images that are not available here in South Africa and i fell in love with this little one!! she stamped it on beautiful watercolor paper, and i reached for my Tombows, (i have been neglecting them terribly since i discovered Copics..........) and i was very impressed with the way the image turned out!

i cut the frames with my Slice and as i did not have the right color rhinestones, i just colored them with my Wild Plum alcohol ink!! then i remembered i also had the Wild Plum Embossing Powder from Ranger and i embossed the edges of the card! very plain and simple (you should know by now that this is me - PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!) you know, i drool over all the blogs with the cards that are so detailed and beautifully embellished and i dream of having mine look like that (if only i owned some nestabilities. or MS punches, or this or that.....) but when i sit down and i make the cards, i always come back to the basics i was taught when i started scrapbooking - it is all about the photo/image! BUT, watch this space - soon i will own a nestability die, and then i will try and dress my cards up some more!! in the meantime - Julie, you are a good NEW friend and i dedicate this card to you!!
i have also decided to enter it into some challenges - i hope the card complies!!!!
