my Copics and I..........

hello everyone! i hope you are having a relaxing Sunday - i am praying for my friends in the USA who are snowed in - just saw on the news that you got almost 50 inches of snow - wow!! although it looks beautiful, it can't be nice to be without electricity - freezing and not able to go anywhere! here we are having a heatwave and the drought is terrible. a prayermeeting was held at our reservoir dam this morning - the dam is very close to almost less than 30%............please pray for us for rain - it is the Eastern and Southern Cape of South Africa.

i have been struggling with my Copics, as you all know. today i decided to tackle them again. this image was sent to me by Amanda Harrod, and i LOVE them. i am so STINGY with them - so scared that i might ruin one, because i only have a few, that i painstakingly coloured this one in this morning. took me almost 30 minutes! it is also very hard, because not all the colours are available in South Africa, but that forces you to try new blending techniques. this HAGLAR (i think that is who she is) was coloured using a technique demonstrated by Samara. she is very clever! once again i coloured first and then looked for paper that matches, but i knew i would have, as green and blue are two of my favourite colour combinations. i used my Slice to cut the shapes she is sitting on, and stamped the sentiment and then punched it out with my circle punch. it is by MSE.
i added some stickles to the hat and used Glossy Accents to highlight the hearts. you can't really see it, but i used the Spica Glitter pen on the rope on the couch and the two little hearts on the buckles of her shoes. I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT THE BUTTONS ON HER JACKET WERE MADE WITH LIQUID PEARLS!!!! for interest's sake - the colour of the pot holding the hearts is a custom colour i made using orange and mustard - i don't have a Terra Cotta colour in Copics. BUT, after watching Samara's video, i realised that i could make almost any colour using the technique! hope you like the card - please let me know if you do!!
