Tim Holtz Black and White Tag Swap
my All Things Tim Group is hosting a Black and White Tag Swap. we are ONLY allowed to use black and white........... it was quite challenging for me - i like color, so this was HARD to do!! but, that's what challenges are about! i blended the basic American Tag with Black Soot Distress ink. then i randomly added some waterdrops to the top and bottom that was going to be seen. i then stamped with one of Tim's swirls and Pearl Paint dabber. then i took some Pitch Black Alcohol ink and dabbed it on glossy paper. i first tried to just stamp the birds and the sentiment - i tried everything. paint, Staz on, Brilliance, Colorbox etc, but it would turn reddish - i think it has a reaction with the alcohol ink. so, i had to emboss it with Seafoam white. that worked well, but the one still has a faint reddish tint. i also redid the ones where i used blending solution - the white really does not like blending solution at all!!! i then stamped part of one of Tim's ATC stamps with the numbers on, onto white shrink plastic with Archival ink, and shrunk it. i first punched the tag before i shrunk it. finally i distressed the edges of the tag with my TH distressing tool and Pitch black Paint dabber! hope you like it and i hope it meets the standard!!!!
