Elizna Parson Class....

today was a great day at the shop. Elizna Parsons came to teach a class based on a Kaisercraft layout she made. it was fabulous! we had 6 ladies -
and one of them had never scrapped before!! i was amazed to see what she did! of course the class coincided with the start of the annual post-year end stock take, so it helped! the shop was very busy - we had people from as far as Elandsdrift ( i think) in the Western Cape! of course it was no surprise - the specials on offer are great! Tim Holtz stamps at less 35%, papers starting at R3-00, Tim Holtz Metals from R32-00, all Glimmer Mists at only R30-00 and all Flocked, shaped and Glitter Making Memories paper at R8-00. lots of imported wooden stamps from R40-00 and all Grungeboard also less 35%.

i really felt my feet this evening! the shop was a madhouse for about 3 hours - we open at 9am and we had the first car stop at 8:25!! some people already came to choose papers yesterday and set them aside - for fear of losing out! i kept on telling them that they must not worry - i am adding new sale items each Saturday for the next 5 weeks to make room for the new CHA releases, but somehow the people don't seem to believe me!!
Genevieve was flat on her bum sorting out her basket - i love the way she shops!! Desiree, Jeanette and Tarien were as always the most diligent students - following Elizna's instructions to the tee, yet adding their own flair to their layouts! all the layouts were stunning! i am so proud of the girls! it always amazes me to see how one layout can have so many variations and everyone just individualises the layout so wonderfully! unfortunately Jeanette ran away before i could grab a photo of her photoless layout, but here are close up of mother and daughter team - Desiree and Tarien's layouts! it was a wonderful day and i want to thank everyone that made it such a success!! the next class will be on the 27th of March - i am not sure what it will be, but it will be fun - i promise!
