her first card - a TILDA!!!

this lady's name is Jakkie and she is from Catu in South Africa. she arrived at our shop about 10 days ago, just browsing. she saw the rows of cards on display, and asked if we do card classes. at that stage i was going to do one on the 27th of March ( today) and i said i would send an sms. she was here in Jeffreys Bay on holiday. of course LIFE got in the way, and we decided to postpone the class until after the School Holidays, and i have to be honest - i FORGOT all about Jakkie!! this morning just before 9am, Jakkie was at the door - she is here for the class!! great was her disappointment when i told her it was postponed. BUT i asked her if she would be interested in learning how to color a picture with BABY OIL!! and she said YES. i told her she would have to be patient - i did not prepare for a class and i knew we were going to be busy. she had never done ANY scrapping, cardmaking or anything before. i think she had a BLAST!! she kept on saying that she can't believe that she did this by herself and that this is what Baby Oil and coloring pencils can do!!!
she made the card for a niece's 21st birthday. i think it is quite an accomplishment - she really has talent and an eye for color! she also blended the Tilda seamlessly and i am so proud of my student!!! well done, Jakkie - here's to MANY more cards!!!

Tell your friend she did a fabulous job on her first card, It's hard to believe this was her first try at card making. Wish I could come to your class. Maybe you could give me some pointers so my cards could turn out this pretty!

That is a fabulous card your student made on her first attempt at Cardmaking and Coloring too (using the Baby Oil). Geeze, i have been making cards for a little over 9months, and mine don't look that good. Congratulations to both the student and the teacher.
Can't wait to see more cards, and i am going to try the baby oil next.
