yesterday it was the snake.................
this morning it was Mr Tortoise!! a HUGE mountain tortoise was on my doorstep this morning, ready for the day!! he was really big! i have to admit - i was a bit surprised to see him - we have an electric fence all around the farmhouse, with hardly enough space for a snake to crawl under (ok, like a big FAT one) so i was wondering how this man got in!! when Elizabeth, the twice weekly cleaning lady come in, she told me that she opened the gate for Mr Tortoise here last year sometime when he looked thirsty. so, the big question now is the following - where on eart has he been hiding out? i know we have a jungle of a garden, but he is not exactly small.........oh well, as long as he is happy!!
