just practicing

i finally bought a new Crafty Individuals stamp as well (love giving classes - then i can buy something new!!!) and HAD to see how it stamped yesterday! i was also on a quest to figure out why i always struggled with my Tombows - and after speaking to people from all over the world, came to the conclusion that you really, in all honesty, can only use them effectively on 300gsm watercolor paper. i don't know WHY i wanted to INSIST that i could use them effectively on anything else, but i have now surrendered. and a good thing i did!! i loved the effect! i got really inspired while doing these two images, and got out my H2o's, my liquid embossing, the works!! so, these images were colored using

derwent pencils

tombows

twinkling H2o's

a brush!!

and then of course all the other goodies - stickles and distressing. the card just came together after that - i really had not planned to make a card, i was just playing, but i love how these sometimes "JUST HAPPEN"!!! the sentiment is from MSE - i thought it was appropriate as the images were of "postage stamps!!"
