Happy Birthday.............
.........to my darling husband!! he turns 42 today - he really can't believe that he is that old - yes, i know, he is but a spring chicken, but to him it is terrible!! although.......sometimes he acts like a 24 year old!!
i made him this card last night and gave it to him early this morning with his toast and coffee (that is where the smudge mark on the left comes from) . i coloured the image with my twinkling H20's - i really don't use them enough. i thought this was a picture of a bass - Marius said this morning it was a trout. i had a photo of a similar looking fish he caught, and wanted to get the colours right. 
i just LOVE the way it shimmers when you hold it at a certain angle. i really hope you can see some of it in the close up. i distressed the cream paper with pine needles and vintage photo distress inks mixed on my blending tool to pick up the green and brown in the fish. the patterned paper is from We R Memory Keepers - loved that range, and the sentiment from MSE. are they still around???
