captured........

i hope i captured the beauty and magic of this scene. the colours of the sky, the waning rays of sunlight winking through the clouds....what a spectacular sight! the holiday season is upon us here in Jeffreys Bay. the town is very busy already, lots of out of town vehicle registrations, and lots of unfamiliar faces.....plenty of lobster-like looking teenagers, absorbing the sun like sponges with their young skins, unaware of the dangers lurking in the rays in the future - oh, the bliss of ignorance! i am a bit nervous for the 3 weeks ahead - this will be my first December at the shop, and although i have loads of stock, i am unsure if i have the RIGHT stock. i am worried that i might have too many classes, and i am worried that i have too few lined up. but, there is not much i can do about it now - we will have to wait and see! and then, next year, we will have learnt from this year, and change what we have to! never a failure, always and experiment! LOL!! luckily i am pretty much a perseverer ( is there such a word?) and i don't give up easily. like the Caananite woman in Matthew 15, who came to Jesus, asking Him to heal her daughter. He refused her. she asked again. He said NO. she begged. her faith was so big, that He had no choice but to grant her request, and heal her daughter. sometimes we give up too soon. someone tells the story of a man who helped the poor in the USA at the end of the 19th century. he would get so despondent sometimes when he asked for donations, that he wondered if it was worth it. then, one day, he saw a man hitting rocks, trying to get them to split open. he watched the man hit the rocks with the axe. 50, 60, 99, 100, 101 times. at the 103rd hit, the rock broke. the man watched in awe. if the man splitting the rock had stopeed at hit no 102, the rock would not have split. he had to hit once more. how often do we pray for something, and if we don't get it, we just say God does not care, or we give up. we should persevere. if it is in line with God's will, His will WILL be done. maybe not when WE want it to happen, or exactly the way we want it to, but always the best way. never give up. never lose hope. God is faithful - to Himself. He has no choice but to keep His promises. we just need to understand them and have FAITH................may you have a blessed week! it is almost time to celebrate on of the greatest Events on earth...........
