First Order

Hi everyone.......................i got an order for a card yesterday - my first!!! thea wanted a card for her husband based upon my Sarah Kay Card i posted here on my blog, but a manly card -and what a challenge that was! i have very little themed stamps, but i got this beautiful set of stamps from Artistic Outpost that had this car image on it.

i stamped the image on white cardstock with VERSAFINE BLACK and then embossed it with Ranger's Black Sparkle EP. i then used my blending tool and tea dye Distress Ink to blend the edges of the image. i stamped the sentiment with Tea Dye and also blended the edges a little. i decided to also do the inside

of the card, as i was not sure if the green would be too dark to write on. at first i just put the paper in, but i accidentally folded it a bit when i was blending it, so i cut two corners from the same pattern paper and also blended the paper with tea dye.

i then just assembled the card and added a nice big button and a standard snap that i opened and used both ends. and there you have it! she said she liked it - i hope she really did - i loved making it!!
