a simple layout

i promised a layout, and here it is. this picture was taken July 1991 - many moons ago when i was an exchange student living in the USA. i think that was the most wonderful year of my life. i found the picture while cleaning out cupboards - it was a small wallet size. i scanned it and enlarged it. i also had never used this colour before in my scrapping career, and decided to do a very simple patchwork layout. i literally just traced the size of the photo and then glued the various sizes of cut patterned paper around the traced rectangle, did some faux stitching with my Ranger Opaque pen, added the photo, the journaling spot, a few buttons and the corner adorned with stickles! hope you like it! i am making cards that come out of my ears - i have to have LOADS by Monday, and i am so slooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww.... i only make about 5 a day! i have to have another 50 finished by then, so wish me luck! i make every single one unique, and that takes time, but i am LOVING it!! big hugs and have a SUPER evening!
