teabag folding and embroidery???

ok, i could not wait until tonight, plus i have a few minutes while Attie is washing my car......here is what i did last night..............

i have been obsessed with doing a card with this embroidery stitching or whatever it is called, and also teabag folding - just because i want to say i can do it. i have been looking all over the internet for templates but i think my google skills are just terrible. so finally last night, i just typed in "cardmaking techniques" and OH MY SOUL!! found this site called Cardmaking Inspirations. i don't know how old the site is, but it had what i was looking for on the front page!! i was thrilled! of course i basically copied the whole thing ( it is my first attempt, remember, so be kind) but it was so much fun! i just think my holes are pierced too big - i am going to try and find a tool that makes smaller holes - my needles are to weak and the other ones too thick. i do believe you get a special tool for this.

as far as the teabag folding goes - that was difficult. i used normal typing paper that i embossed with Gold detail EP and then folded it. it still ended up being quite thick - i will have to do some research on that part. but, i loved it! the embroidery thread is not a very good quality - nice and gold shine, but you can see it already started fraying. i am really pleased with this technique!!! hope you also like it!
