Scrapbook Ex Continued..........PRIMA
here i am with Tracie Hudson, the fabulous Prima Educator that taught the class.
although Prima was the second last class on Sunday, i decided to finish it second - once again very bright and bold! but, i loved the preparation and the distressing!
we had to cut out the frame on the left twice and layer it after distressing it with the scissor method, and also cut out the flowers top and bottom and layered them back on with pop-dots (foam-dots)
we also got a great vine in our packs that you can manipulate into the shape you want.
a very dimensional page. very interesting was the rose on this page under the butterfly. it was a gorgeous, fat paper rose, that we took apart with some force upon instruction from our teacher, Tracie, from the UK. we actually got to stand on the rose! what a fun thing to do! and who said you can't get rid of your frustrations when you scrapbook??? the inner part was a trick she taught us - you do need a bit of patience (i had none at that stage on Sunday, but if you want to see a beautiful one done, visit Shamela's blog - she made them perfectly! )
This is the inside part of the original rose, flattened with my heel!! loved doing that! you can also see a little of the faux stitching we did with the tracer and the black pen. once again i decided to use the photos i took with - at least there is SOME green in the layout! here you can see a close up of the distressing and the layering of the patterned paper. it was really hard work to do so many papers, but it looks really nice!!
