Tim Holtz X'Mas Tags - day 4 and 5

what a wonderful day it has been today! lots of wind, but just a good day!! do you ever get those? nothing in particular, just a gorgeous day that the Lord made!! well, i made some TAGS - whether they are gorgeous or not, i don't know, but they sure were a challenge! i will start with day 5 ................i did not have the right swirl, tag fragments or stamps . but i did have fragments....(by the way, i tried to make a hole in the fragment with my crop-o-dile, but it just shot pieces all over the room!!) i used some small stamps i had with a X'mas theme and the swirl i had that was closest to the fabulous flourish Tim uses. (i need to get that..........)the word is made up of MM alphabet rub ons - i am sure they are discontinued, but a store was having a closing down sale 2 years ago, and i think i bought 20 different ones. i LOVE alphabets! i also did not have the right wire, but i had to make do with what i had!!

day 4 was another challenge............once again i did not have the stamps, but made an inkpad for this little wreath by by Artistic Outpost. also no mini holidays, so i had to collage to the best of my ability. i only realised that i had the wrong size memory frame when i started looking for the loopy thing at the bottom of the frame to which i could attach my bow!! oh well!! i also did not have glass glitter ar ANYTHING similar - so i just hammered a piece of glass..........it is all over the capsule - i will try and get it into the ting at some stage - there is just too much of a gap between the capsule and the stamped image. of course my little roof, made from Tim's metal corner did not fit - yes, i just plunge, made everything and was perplexed when i saw my roof was too small!!) so i just cut one from grungeboard and embossed it with a mixture of several EP's, and then i did the icicle thingies with the Pearl Dabber and Frosted Lace Stickles (no picket fence DS here). all in all i really like this one - it was hard work, but i think it came out OK!!! i would love to know what you think - good or bad, suggestions............

don't foget to pop in to scrap and stamp saturday - a really nice X'mas prize up for grabs!!

Well, I think you've done a fantastic job! I've said before, I really like the tags best that do not use all of the same things Tim used. It shows your creativity and ingenuity in figuring out good substitutions.
Well done!
